Abstract

To improve the results of diagnosis and surgical treatment of concomitant injury in children with damage to
the abdominal organs through the use of the possibilities of endovideosurgery. Material and methods: The case records
of 110 patients with severe combined injuries combined with closed abdominal trauma treated at the Department of
Pediatric Surgery of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid in 2006-2014 were analyzed in detail.
Endovideosurgery intervention was used in 84 (76.36%) patients for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes. Results: The
severity of the condition of the affected children is determined by the time frame for admission to hospital and subsequent
examination. To determine the severity of an injury to an organ, to determine the nature of the damage, the number and
composition of the contents of the abdominal cavity and determine the possibility of endosurgical methods to repair the
damage or the need for open surgery allowed video laparoscopy. Conclusions: Videolaparoscopy is a screening method,
as it allows not only to clarify the diagnosis, but also to make adequate endosurgical intervention.
