Abstract

Objective: To study the Doppler criteria for the progression of diabetic retinopathy. Materials and Methods:
Clinical studies were conducted during the treatment of 36 patients (68 eyes) with NDR. All patients underwent a
general ophthalmologic examination and color duplex mapping of eye vessels. Results: The revealed correlations
allow using the hemodynamic parameters of the eye as criteria for diagnosing NDR stages. Patient observations for
6 months confirm the prognostic significance of the proposed risk index for the progression of diabetic retinopathy.
Conclusions: Established dopplerographic criteria for staging of NDR. The developed IRP DR allows to evaluate the
effectiveness of the treatment, as well as to predict the development of vascular changes and the progression of DR.
