To analyze the incidence rate of malignant diseases among children in the dynamics over the past 10 years.
Material and methods: The subject of the study was the incidence rates of the main types of malignant oncology among
children in Tashkent. The analysis covered the period from 2008 to 2017. Results: An analysis of the dynamics and level
of the incidence of malignant diseases among the children’s population of the republic, and in particular in Tashkent,
showed that more than 700 cases of malignant tumors in childhood are recorded annually in the republic. In the structure
of oncological diseases among the entire population of childhood tumors is 3.7%, there is a relative increase in the
number of diseases identified during preventive examinations. The leading localizations in the structure of oncological
diseases among the pediatric population, both among the male and female, are lymphatic and blood tissues, the brain
and other unspecified parts of the nervous system, connective and other soft tissues, bones and articular cartilages, etc.
In most cases oncopathology is detected in advanced (III-IV) stages. The reasons for the late detection are difficulties
in diagnosing malignancies in children, as well as insufficient oncological alertness in doctors of the general treatment
network. Conclusions: In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of sick children with malignancy. More
than half of cases of the disease are detected in advanced stages, which subsequently leads to disability or death.
